Beiji Village



Located in Mohe, Beiji Village is the northernmost village in China. Because of the high latitude of 53 degrees, there happens white nights phenomenon around the summer solstice with nearly 20 hours of daytime per day. If you are lucky enough, you can feast your eyes on the gorgeous aurora borealis. Nicknamed as the North Pole Village, winter there can be extremely cold with the lowest temperature of -58 degrees Fahrenheit (- 50 degrees Centigrade). Heaven snowfall in winter would turn the village to a white fairyland, presenting seemingly endless snowscape. During that time, you can have fun playing snow activities, like sledding, snowball fighting, and snowboarding.
Life in the village is quite simple. Most of the natives still preserve their traditional lifestyle, fishing and hunting, as if the long-term snowfall has washed away the interference of the modern life. Houses there are typical wooden Russian style cabins. The river abounds with numerous kinds of cold-water fish. Stewing fish with the river water making the fish even tasty. In winter, the river will be frozen and the cabins will be covered under the snow. Sculptures of snow and ice are distributed everywhere in the snowy village. Spend your day in the village must be a great getaway experience from the busy city life.

3. There is a sightseeing bus taking you to each spot, you can also rent a bike and ride around the village.
4. Beiji Village lies upon Heilongjiang River on the south and faces Russia across the river. Taking a boat along the river to view the border scenery must be a special tour experience.

Is there any change or update in timings of bus from Mohe station to Beiji village?
Is the bus to beiji village depart from Mohe railway station or any other bus station?

Yes, the buses depart from Mohe Bus station at 7:00, 10:30, 14:00 to Beiji Village. It takes about CNY 25 per person.
